After a long overnight flight (midnight is not Rosie’s best time), we arrived in Phuket at 9am only to find ourselves at the back of a huge queue at immigration. It took an hour to get through this, despite our best efforts we were the very last people through. Taxi was waiting and we arrived at the hotel just after 11am. Straight off to sleep.
We are staying at Sunprime, Kamala Beach Resort and the hotel complex is huge. There are at least 10 pools and most of them have only a handful of people around them. Our room is on the second floor, looking out over the largest pool.
The next morning we got up ready for golf and off we went to Blue Canyon. It was pouring with rain, the fairways were flooded and the greens were underwater. After five holes we gave up. Fortunately we were given a rain check and we have time to try again when we return from Greece, so all was not a total disaster.
A couple of beers and an oil massage in the afternoon and all was good.
The next day, the weather was a bit better but still a few huge squalls coming through. Crossing our fingers for golf tomorrow. Off for another massage this afternoon.
