Bangpoo Golf Club

After Chiang Mai, we flew back to Bangkok in preparation for flying home. Bruce allowed an extra day before leaving so we had one last game booked into Bangpoo Golf and Sports Club. We hadn’t played this course before and Bruce picked it since it was near the coast and should have been cooler than the previous games we have had in Bangkok.

As we sat having breakfast with Debbie and Neil, Deb showed Rosie the shopping centre that they were going to visit. Rosie immediately decided that she wanted to go shopping instead of golf and poor Neil was forced to take her place at golf, he didn’t need to be asked twice to swap.

Bangpoo was a very flat, open course with few trees. It did have a lot of water hazards and bunkers but was still a lovely relaxed way to finish our hectic golf trip. As you can see Neil and Bruce got the same Gross score and were pretty happy with our games. The course was much cooler than any course we have played in Bangkok, so this was another bonus. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone travelling to Bangkok.

The next morning we set off for Perth, via Singapore. The flights were good and neither one too long. Got back to Perth at 11:45pm and then drove straight down to Margaret River, where arrived just before 4am.

This was one of more enjoyable holidays, the extra company was great and the excursions we planned all turned out well. Thank you to Deb, Neil, Julie and Graham for the pleasure of your company.
