Summit Green Valley GC – Chiang Mai

Since Rosie and Bruce have been to Chiang Mai a couple of time already, we decided to play golf on consecutive days rather than go site seeing. Summit is an older course and the greens are a bit strange, with two different varieties of grass on them. One type is much slower that the other and when the greens are pretty slow anyway due to coring, it was very hard to judge the pace.

Neil started slowly but quickly improved and had his best game so far in Thailand. Bruce was staying with him until the last hole where he had a complete brain fade and sunk two balls in the water. The course played short, but there were many bunkers so you were severely penalised for a misshot. Again the caddies weren’t very good, except for Bruce’s, so everyone was relying on just one caddy for advice. Rosie was not happy by the end of the game.
