Black Mountain GC – Hua Hin

Black Mountain is another popular course in Hua Hin that every golfer who visits here raves about. As such, it is also one of the more expensive courses. The clubhouse and facilities were immaculate and the infrastructure in great shape. As usual we were met by a group of caddies who took our clubs and directed us to the pro shop to check in.

From there we sat in a beautiful cafe overlooking the course waiting for our tee time, then a few practise putts and off we went again.

The course is magnificent with many bunkers and a lot of water. Off the white tees it wasn’t too long, but you had to plan your way around the hazards and over the water ways. In all cases it was very fair, except on one of the par 3’s where the ladies had a huge carry to get over the water, which they did reasonably well.

This course is a must visit, but I wouldn’t necessarily want to play it all the time, I rather like the older courses which have more jungle and wildlife around them.
