On this holiday Bruce wanted to play a couple of Robert Trent Jones Jr designed courses. He designed both Joondallup and Meadow Springs and I think both courses are not difficult but do require planning, which I like.
We were not disappointed with either course, this one and Eastern Star in Pattaya. Green Valley is close to both Bangkok and the airport and as such, it was very crowded, even though we played mid-week. This game took nearly an hour longer than the others.
The weather was very hot and humid, so by the time we got to the second nine (1-9, since we started on 10), we were a bit tired and run down. There was a lot of water along the edges of many fairways which made your tee shot tight, and for some reason we all had trouble getting out of the bunkers.
All up, we loved the course but didn’t like the crowds. Would go back if we had time.
